Activ8 Joins Stó:lō Community Futures To Deliver Aboriginal Business Training
Stó:lō Community Futures (SCF) in partnership with the Stó:lō Business Association and with funding from the BC Rural Dividend Fund has engaged Activ8 Education and Training to deliver courses in Marketing Level I, Social Media Level I and two workshops in Business Confidence to enhance business opportunities for Aboriginal people living within the Stó:lō Traditional Territory of 24 vibrant communities.
Courses will run this fall and in the spring of 2018. The marketing level 1 course was taught over a 10-hour, 2-day workshop on September 23 & 24th, 2017, with participants learning important customer facing strategies; identifying their brand value, researching their ideal customer and learning how to promote their products and services in a way that best reaches their target markets.
Businesses included a food truck operator, organic doggie treat manufacturer, B&B Guest House, photographer and Aboriginal themed apparel designer.
Social Media Level I will be held Saturday and Sunday, October 21st and 22nd, 2017 at SCF's headquarters in Chilliwack, B.C.
We are honoured to be working with the great people at SCF and look forward to advancing marketing, sales and digital media training for the talented small business owners in the Stó:lō Traditional Territory.
